Home Staging Assistant

Summary

Part to full time position as a staging assistant to the owner of Limelight Home Staging. Assist in transforming unoccupied properties for sale into well designed homes that appeal to a wide range of buyers. A secondary aspect of this job will be to assist caring for owner’s infant while owner is on business calls or at appointments with clients.

On average, this position will be for about 15 to 25 hours per week. The hours are dependent on the real estate market. The hours can be closer to full time during the high season (spring and summer) and there will be a reduction in hours during the low season (fall and winter).

There will be 4 month probationary period in which the pay will begin at $15.00/hr. After the probationary period, there will be a pay increase. Work performance, experience, and job history will be taken into consideration when determining the pay increase.

Job duties (among others that may be assigned to you or required by the owner of Limelight Home Staging)

  1. Oversee employees and subcontractors on job site and while the owner is absent
  2. Assess and communicate safety protocol procedures both for the safety of the employees and the protection of the client’s property and Company’s interests, including conducting safety meetings when necessary.
  3. Shop for and order inventory, equipment and materials as directed by the owner.
  4. Map out staging floor plans for employees to follow.
  5. Direct the room layouts and installation of the staging items.
  6. View properties, take photos, submit bids, execute contracts and addenda to contracts as directed
  7. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  8. Ensure the best interest of the company by directing all employees to align with company goals and profitability.
  9. Process payroll and other administrative tasks.
  10. Assist with online marketing and social media.
  11. Assist with creating other marketing materials.
  12. Acting as a personal assistant to owner and helping with all necessary tasks, including caring for owner’s infant while owner is on business calls or at appointments with clients.

Job duties change daily. Below is an example of what happens on the average staging week.

Work with the owner of Limelight Home Staging and team to implement several stages per week and de-stage properties that have sold and are nearing the close of escrow. For a stage, arrive at the warehouse between 8-9 AM to help pack the truck with furniture, art, accessories and bedding to used at the stage. After a lunch break, the staging assistant will go with the crew to the property to set up the stage. The staging assistant will then help direct the crew to place the furniture according to the layout, help hang art, make beds, set out accessories, and ensure all items are ready for show, including cleaning glass, steaming bedding and towels, dusting accessories, etc. The following day the staging assistant will work with the owner or Staging Crew Lead to perfect the stage. A de-stage consists of arriving at the warehouse, packing the de-staging supplies into the truck, heading to the property to pack the items at the stage, bringing them back to the warehouse, unpack the items and restock the shelves.

At any time, the ideal candidate would be able to care for an infant while the owner takes phone calls, consults with clients, or assumes other business related activities.

Summary

Part to full time position as a the crew lead and truck driver for Limelight Home Staging. Limelight Home Staging transforms unoccupied properties for sale into well designed homes that appeal to a wide range of home buyers. The hours are dependent on the real estate market. The hours can be closer to full time during the high season (spring and summer). There could be a reduction in hours during the low season (fall and winter).

Job Detail

Work with the owner of Limelight Home Staging to lead and direct Staging Crew to implement as many as three stages per week and de-stage properties that have sold and are nearing the close of escrow. For a stage, pick up the rental box truck promptly at 8:30 AM (usually, a 14-17 ft box truck). Arrive at the warehouse at 9 AM to begin packing the truck with furniture, art, accessories and bedding to used at the stage. After a lunch break, the Staging Crew Lead will drive the box truck to the property to set up the stage. The Staging Crew Lead will work with the Owner and the Staging Assistant to direct the Staging Crew to unload the truck and bring out the furniture and other staging items into the designated rooms as outlined by the staging assistant and/or owner. The Staging Crew Lead will lead the team in putting up art, making beds, setting out accessories, and ensuring all items are ready for show, including cleaning glass, steaming bedding and towels, dusting accessories, etc. Often, on the following day, the Staging Crew Lead will work with the Staging Assistant and the Owner to perfect the stage.

A de-stage consists of picking up the rental truck promptly at 8:30 AM and arriving at the warehouse by 9AM. At the warehouse, the Staging Crew Lead will direct the Staging Crew to pack the de-staging supplies into the truck. Once the truck is loaded, the Staging Crew Lead will drive the truck to the property and work with the Staging Assistant and/or Owner to pack the items at the stage, load the truck, drive the truck back to the warehouse, help unpack the items and restock the shelves. This position involves heavy lifting of couches, large heavy dining tables, etc. The ideal candidate has experience in moving and has no back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, foot, or other injury that would make such manual labor difficult.
